Letter from the president

As we start 2025 many of us are experiencing unusually cold temperatures. I know my furry boy loves it. I have to bring him in; he doesn’t want to come in on his own. Hope especially all of you in the south are able to keep warm.
​
HWA is celebrating its 40th year this year! Many years of hard work and dedication of many people has allowed the club to obtain its goal of having the Airedale be able to compete in both upland and retriever events in AKC. Since that goal has been met the direction of the club has been more towards continuing to train field skills rather than providing testing events. It has also allowed the 2 weekend events to introduce more varied education such as first aide, hiking, grooming and search and rescue. It has also allowed more time for social events to foster lifelong friendships.
